20 Blend Free Form Amino Acids

When a person eats protein, the body must first break it down into the individual amino acids before it can use them in specific metabolic pathways, or to build enzymes or body proteins. The human body builds over 50,000 known proteins and over 15,000 known enzymes from amino acids. All body enzymes, including digestive enzymes, are made from amino acids, sometimes with vitamins acting as coenzymes and sometimes with mineral activators.

A lack of free amino acids can be followed by an inability to produce the digestive enzymes that are necessary to break down protein into it’s component amino acids. A vicious cycle that repeats itself. You eat protein but your body only uses amino acids. In fact, your body is allergic to undigested protein molecules. Undigested protein molecules also serve as food for bacteria and putrefy in the intestines. These protein by-products produce toxins that are absorbed through the gut and stress the body. The amount of good that eating protein does for your body is directly proportional to your ability to properly digest it.

    Types of supplemental amino acids:

  1. Protein powder - which requires complete digestion and is not a source of free amino acids.
  2. Free amino acids in a lactose or protein base - which has a very tiny percentage of free amino acids and is mostly undigested protein powder.
  3. Predigested protein - some of the protein has been broken down into peptide form. Usually a low quality protein is used.
  4. Free form amino acids reduced from a protein source, usually milk - contains some chemical residues, and the profile is altered by the chemical reduction. The profile may be altered by the addition of individual, free form amino acids. This represents a misleading but inexpensive source, as the person often thinks he is buying a blend of individual amino acids. Frequently people may have allergies to the source protein.
  5. Blends of free amino acids - these are made by taking the free form of crystalline amino acids and blending them into a mixture. Jo Mar’s Pure Form 20 Blend is made in this way and contains only free form crystalline amino acids. These are the most hypoallergenic products.

We suggest a regimen of three Jo Mar Pure Form 20 Blend capsules three times a day, 1/2 hour before meals. In this way, you can assure that your body has the necessary available free amino acids to assist in digesting your food. Whenever you are taking amino acid supplements it is suggested that you have an adequate supply of vitamins and minerals available, especially vitamin C. Jo Mar’s Mega C-5 powder is an excellent source for vitamin C.
